Overseeding question

    This past autumn was my first year doing overseeding. I did alot of searching on here, and had very good results with my customers lawns. Anyhoo, my question is , is overseeding an autumn thing, or is it also done in the spring also?

    You will do better in the fall like the 3rd week in september spring is possible sell it if you can.

    Ditto, we start 2nd week in September. Last year we went a little later due to the weather. We also will be doing a couple in spring, but end of the year is preferred. :)

    Fall is the best time about the first of sept. You will have excellent growing conditions for grass and poor for weeds. Spring seeding is always a battle with the weeds.

    Aerate the xxooo out of the ground. At least 12 to 14 holes per foot.

    Dethatch if the thatch is thicker than 3/8 inch and remove the stuff

    Slit Seed...open the soil to 3/8 inch deep..

    Go over the lawn twice to get a good even seeding..

    Water and fert...properly...After care is the key after a good seeding...

    next spring some good weed prevention and you will have a living carpet.
