I'm moving to southeastern PA shortly, wondering if I need to be licensed for mowing, or just have the liability insurance. I know I will have to get a license for weed control/ fert, but for anything else?

for the State the answer is no you dont need license.
as for as the city/town possible but not probable. call the city hall of the town you will be moving to or working in. If you are solo op, you just need to file ficticious name with the state if you are not using part of your name, Like Jeffs Scalping Service, you dont need to file fictious name. If you use name like Accu-scalp mowing, u need to file.
