Which one do you think is best, Pace or Haulmark?
What Pace are you looking at. One thing I noticed with the Pace trailers is that they are heavy. I have looked at a couple that weigh 5,000lbs and they are only a 20'. The Haulmark Thrifty Hauler in a 20' weighs around 3600lbs. I'm all for having an overbuilt trailer but somewhere Pace gets a little carried away in my opinion.
I'm looking at a Pace Cargosport, and it's 3000lbs, and the Haulmark is 3325lbs.
It think it was a Conquest that was 5,000 empty!!!! A 2,000lb payload makes it a useless trailer IMHO.
We bought an 18 foot Cargosport in 2000, and it's been run hard ever since, from New England to Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas, etc. It still looks great, tows fine, and the body and hardware are in excellent shape. I have no experience with Haulmark, but they seem to sell a lot of trailers. Also Wells Cargo. Probably depends on the dealer network.
Thanks for the reply, It's good to know that your Pace Cargosport has held up so well.
