Plenty of them on ebay and really cheap. Are they any good?
Buy a wacker/neuson
Dido on the Wacker. You get what you pay for. It's like comparing your 61" Scag to a Home Depot Ride-on. Their "really cheap" compared to your Scag.
I agree, planning on a 3050 wacker. It should serve my needs quite well.
I have the 3050A. As I'm sure you already know, the "A" stands for a Honda engine. It's a few hundred bucks more, but in my opinion, well worth it. Very good machine. Before you buy new, check your local rental places for a used one. A compactor of this size doesn't go out to the job sites as much as other equipment. The hours on them are usually low even after being in service for a year or two. If it's a reputable rental place they more than likely take better care of their equipment (checking and changing oil, filters, etc.) than most of us contractors. Best of luck with your purchase.
I have called every rental yard around. Nobody has any plates for sale.
