one of my customers is concerned about two palms she has in her back yad, and since not many have them around here i know nothing about them well not much about trees in general... today the wind is blowing pretty hard and they are swaying around, she wants to know the best way to support them and preserve them because their new pit bull puppy has torn all of the bark off at the bottom of the tree, i havent seen it lately but she said that its weakening the trees. so how would you fix the bark problem and what way would you support the trees? o and they are only around 10' tall.

Stake the trees in 4 spots, 90 degrees apart and put chicken wire around the stakes to keep the pit bull out.

Stake it, fence it in. Palms are very beautiful and valuable (depending on type). This is why animals and landscaping dont usually work together.
