How hard is it to dig up the root ball? They are not as big as most, maybe 24" round. 6 of them and there is no way to get anything back there to pull them out.

Depends on the soil, it's work but you should be able to do 2 per hr maybe 3.

I always break them down into sections I will split 1 into 3 or 4 plants using a super sharp spade. I split it up and take it out that way. If they don't want the grass you can turn around and plant these small sections on other properties or your own. Those 6 plants could easily become 24 divided up and used on other jobs or at home.

It's hard work only you know your hourly wage. You may be able to do it faster but 2 per hr is a good guess.

If those are Pampas grass's they must not be very old. Pampas Grass can get 10' wide. If they are just small two footers they will come out easily with a sharp shooter. If those are Maiden Grass's then it's more of a chore.

Thanks for the replies. I think they are young and the soil is soft. I will find out soon.
