Pants

I was just wondering what type of pants to most of you guys wear when you mow. We normally just wear jeans, but they get hot in the summer time. We thought about going with khaki's, but I think the lightweight khaki's won't hold up and the heavyweight are probably just as hot as jeans. What do you guys think of sweat pants? Just some more things to think about as the season gets started.

I thought everyone was a fool wearing long pants cutting grass. Then after I shot a few pebbles and pieces of sticks into my legs I learned my lesson! I normally wear jeans. Seem to be about the best I've found anyway.

brians--I wear poplin BDUs. the army style pants with the leg pockets. they are light and durable. if you get wet they dry quickly. they are two or three layers thick in the knee area so you don't usually wear them through. they are current manufacture so they are available in several different colors. they match well with a nice tee shirt so you look presentable to your clients. good luck.
GEO

I wear sweats, shorts, and levi's. sweats are compfortable, loose. just that the grass really sticks to them. but hey if you have a washer who care's right? good luck.

I wear work pants made by Dickies. They last a long time, and not as hot as jeans. And if I wear a nice shirt with them, it looks somewhat like a company uniform.

I wear jeans-usually LLBean, they last a couple seasons for $30 a pop. Almost never wear shorts, got tired of going home with my legs cut up from sawgrass, or a batch of poison ivy kicked up from a trimmer.
Bill
