What would you use for control of path rush in St Augustine?
Juncus tenuis; also known as Slender Rush or Path Rush.
You'll find it in compacted soil and it's hard to control. I don't know of any chemical application that will. Perhaps somebody else will chime in.
In St. Augustine the weed is best removed by hand-pulling before seed development. You can try Glyco for spot treatments but remember, this is a tuber so you can expect it to come back.
Your best bet is aerating the lawn and maintaining a healthy & robust turf grass.
According to trials and research, 2,4-D or Basagran affects it. On st augustine, I would go with the Basagran. Dismiss might work as well. I see this weed a lot in lawns that are growing on poorly drained soil that is also being over watered.
