Paver excavation.

    wondering what means and equipment you all use for excavating ground material for paver patio installation?

    Also, while Im at it, can anyone point me to a calculator or spreadsheet for determining how much base material is needed..

    Ummmmmm......excavator and or skid steer.........ws that a trick question?

    Do a search on FORMULAS....Kris started a thread on this within the last year or so

    use something that has a motor...LOL

    and as for the formula, you should know how to figure volume if you are doing this work... It's the same for mulch, etc...

    LXWXH/27=cubic yards.
    do not forget to convert inces of base to feet before you multiply.
    the conversion is .0833 per inch will convert to feet.
