I used aquacap in the spring not much noticeable smell.Today i sprayed 3.3 on my yard with 3 way. Moth ball city this is my first year of spraying I do my and a commercial account i cut no residential. Is there really that big of a differnce in the smell or did i just not pay attention in the spring. When will the smell go away. For the record licensed and insured thanks.

I do not spray much pendulum but I do spray alot of 3 way. I would say that it was the 3 way you were smelling more than the pendi. Do you have problems with that stuff turning everything that it hits orange? That is one of the reasons that I spray symazine in the fall. Good Luck this Fall!!!!!!!

There is a big difference in the smell(between aquacap and 3.3EC). The advantage to aquacap is low odor. The disadvantage is there can be some problem of the residue being tracked in untreated areas before irrigation and the microencapsulated portion releasing and causing staining(carpets, linoleum). I got tired of the smell and switched to prodiamine in the Spring, Simazine in the Fall.

Side note: I noticed that if there was any travel time between stops, it looked like the hose needed recirculating again-this was using the aquacap. It seemed to settle out in the hose-personal observation.

I used Pendulum 2G once. I got to many complaints about odor so I never used it again. Cost was way lower than Lesco Pre-M.

Many winter annuals began germination about 6 weeks ago in this area. Consider adding Simazine to help control poa annua if you are spaying warm season turf.
I hit my lawns(Centipede and St. Augustine) with a combo of Image, Simazine and Gallery about 6 weeks ago; now some of the cleanest lawns around. I missed some small areas close to the huge trees and yes there are a few weeds that have sprung up that included a few of the asiatic hawksbeard. They were all easily pulled.

24hrs and i still smell the crap. This will be the last time i use it . Simazine does that last all winter? I know your lucky to get 1 month in warmer months. For the price i will definetly try it next fall. What is the next step up from Pendi i cant afford barricade unless they sell it n smaller quanties than 10lbs. I barely make any profit just spraying one acre if i didnt maintain 10 acres for them i wouldnt do it at all. Cheaper to sub it out but they cut grass to dont need any invitations for bids. thanks

The smell will diminish a bunch if you can water it in. I won't use Pendi anymore, too much stink, too much staining, just not worth it. I'm a Prodiamine man.

You're probably confusing the newer Aquacap formulation with the older Pre-M 3.3 EC.

Like Ted Putnam said, Aquacap is definitely lower in odor; and any yellow-orange over spray is much more readily washed off as compared to the older formulation of pendimethilin because the A.I. in Pendulum Aquacap is micro-encapsulated.

This also means the A.I will release more gradually, too.
That's a big bonus here in Ohio... when we (usually) have March-April monsoon season!

I use it most of my landscape maintenance operations....along with Casoron 2G for (spot) Canadian thistle prevention.
I've found no better combination.
