Is there a way that ppl "have" to list where they are located ?
Dozens of times per week. Ppl come on asking questions.
Without knowing at least a general location it is like pulling teath to help them.
They may be in the middle of a desert asking why their grass is turning brown. Without some geographical data, it's a crap shoot.
    Thanks MJD.

Well yes, we have it set that people have to enter their zip code but not everybody has to be "honest" I guess with that location...we have tried making it mandatory in the past as well with asking for city or location but again, it doesn't mean it is 100% accurate

Yes it boils down to honesty.
I was just responding to a guy's post with brown dead grass.
    No location of coarse.
I click on his profile. It says lawncare, snow removal, etc.
Then digging through his random posts he's in Chattanooga TN.
    No snow removal there.
    Lol.
Hard to help ppl when they hide behind a screen.
    Thanks Michael

I totally agree with the premise of your point. Maybe there's a verification process that could be implemented like having a form where data is mandatory (that would reveal location), and the I.P. address of the user is cross checked with the information entered randomly by moderators (a.k.a. quality control). Just an idea.

General area such as state would be fine, however, exact area I say no. While I enjoy conversing with you all on here I would not want local competition knowing what my thoughts are.

I live less than an hour from there. We don’t get much snow and it’s not a service I offer but it does snow a little. A few businesses like doctors offices and Walmart have the parking lots plowed. But Chattanooga is off the mountain so probably even less snow.
