Gentlemen, looking for a compact ztr for trimming and back yards. Getting too old to stand or push. Wanted to get your opinions on the Phazer 44 and the Mini Z 42.:usflag:

I would get the Phazer. Have heard though it was discontinued, but I think that is a bunch of bulls*** because it is still on their website, with a bunch of new updates listed for it for this year (like the Ultravac, which really kinda makes me want one).

I have the Mini-Z 36" and am very satisfied with its performance. When I was looking, I also checked out the Phazer--I don't know how well it cuts, but it was not nearly as well built as the Hustler. After sitting on the Mini-Z, the Phazer kind of felt like a toy-and I hated the controls on the Phazer(located down between your legs, below the seat).

Plus it would just sit in the shop all winter.... has anyone else heard anything like that? A reply from eXmark would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hello Chris,
Thanks for writing in. Your dealer is correct, the 2006 44" Phazer has limited availability. Exmark still offers the 34" Phazer for 2007.
We do offer 12 month no payment and deferred interest on 2006 models which might help ease the pain of not using it this winter.

i personally like the Hustler's for their warranties and factory support.
