What are your blade options for these mowers and what is an intended application and price of each?
Here are some general descriptions that I have put together. The Solid and the Notched have the same height air foil. Solid produces just a little less vacuum!
Notched Air Foil (34" 109-2548, 44" 103-2529)
These are factory blade and best for most applications
Max. lift and discharge velocity
Ideal for heavy thick grasses
Take full advantage of hp
Solid Air Foil (34" 109-2549, 44" 103-1579)
Blades reduce flex when mowing
Blades don’t tend to bend as easily after impact
Can help in reducing blow out
Helpful in cutting Bahia shoot, Dandelions, Foxtail, etc.
Will reduce discharge velocity
Low Lift (34" 109-2551, 44" 103-2509)
Used a lot in sandy areas
Helps reduce build-up on bottom of deck
Reduces discharge velocity
Reduces blow out
Uses less hp to operate
Mulching (34" 109-3129, 44" 103-2519)
Works well with our mulch kit
Sharp blades are a must for max performance
Uses maximum hp for best result
Forces clipping back into turf
Blades need to be sharpened more often do to increase cutting of clippings
I'd check with your local dealer for exact blade pricing.
Is there a mulch kit available for the Phazer yet? If so, what is the msrp?
Yes, there is a Mulch kit for both the 34" and 44" Phazer. Part #s MK343 and MK443, they list for $159.
