Ive done it before but i wondered how i should price this, dont know how many trees but i know its idrty dirty work to clean up walnuts and would like to know if i should price it by the tree or by the hour
I would think by the hour. LOL I cleaned a yard yesterday was just one tree, and done it for free....... well I carried them home. I got four 5 gallon buckets of them. Will be some good eating this winter lol
Would anyone take them to get them out of the yard? Alot of the younger generation would just go to the store and buy them. Is there a market for them at a flea market or something? Alot of the older generation here still crack them and save them for cakes and pies through out the year. I would charge the same as leaf removal or your usual hourly rate. Your time is valuable whether its moving or cleaning a yard
Around here a market for walnuts. There's a company that buys them and they have buyers set up all over the state. Right now they are $12.00 for a hundred pounds after their hulled. Around here its an easy way to make some extra money if you've got time to pick them up.
I live out in the country and they jsut compost it, since they dont charge for curbside pickup of yard waste (if its in the big paper bags) they prob cant charge at the dump
i HAVE them in my back yard. I use the backpack blower to round them up and blow them into the mulch beds. You could blow them into a pile and use a flat shovel to pick them up.
