planted a bunch of bare root trees in one spot, now what?!

    Here's what showed up this week. Rose chafers. They show up every year for three weeks eat everything in sight, procreate and then disappear until the following year. 20200615_204737.jpg

    pretty goofy looking after so many years. I was figuring to see these big posts next to tiny bare roots sprigs or saplings. . . ha! Got the message though. Maybe the big post distracts or completely takes the attention of the deer and they don't "see" the sapling growing next to it. Certainly, they are not likely to do the "buck rub" during pre-rut.

    Yeah, they been there a while. There are new ones around too. He was a Christmas tree farmer so theoretically knows what he's doing.
