I have a steep hill in the back on my house that is too steep to maintain and the soil easily erodes. I planted crown veg along the hill about a week ago. It appears that all of the plants have died. I watered the second day after planting and we had significant rainfall about a week after planting. Any advice on how to best get crown veg to take?

Did you put an innoculant powder in with the vetch? Also, you should plant it with annual rye seed to get it started. What rate / coverage did you plant it?Also-you could have gotten some old stock seed. I know our one supplier doesn't sell a lot of it, and any time I need it, I ask for the label to see the test / germ. date..anything over 10 months to a year is too risky at 30.00 a pound..Need more info...
