Plants that repel mosquitos

    In Northern Virginia and want to know if there are any plants that repel mosquitoes and can survive in this area.

    Lavender will I’ve always heard.

    I have heard marigolds also. But around here I can also find citronella geraniums that they sell for that explicit purpose.

    Second the citronella plant - #1 option - and as a bonus its a perrenial. Catnip and lavender are good too. Then there are herbs that are great also that can serve as a dual purpose (including mint, garlic).

    Neem tree. Its an India native I believe, so good in hot and humid conditions.
