    Hello.
I am in the market for a new single direction plate compactor.

I was looking at a few brand names and was wondering what you guys think.

Well my first choice is Bomag, then ingersoll-rand, Wacker and mikasa.

    I was looking to have about a 18" x 22" plate size.

    What do you think?

Wacker was my best experience. Although I rent mine,
    They are easy to repair.

You might want to try the search function. There is a very recent thread on this subject.

I have a wacker, don't like the fact that the handles doesn't rotate over for an easy "zero" turn. Other than that, no problems.

I rent wackers and don't particularly like them. I am now Leaning towards a Bomag or Ingersoll rand. What do you think
