    Well 'they' didn't follow up.

But, I got a phone call this morning wanting an estimate for a pond. I set up a meeting with them for Sunday. You gotta love when they say, "My husband got a bonus check that we have to spend".payup

    You'll love this one.

Got there, and did my little speal, bla bla bla.

But their idea and the $$$'s they have in mind don't mix. A 8-$9,000 pond with a 3-4k budgit. But they think it's still possible.

Their reasoning: We have a bunch of rock arround the property that you could use. I know a place where the rock would probably be cheaper. We will be home, so we can help. I have a Kabota with a loader that you could use. I could probably dig must of it out befor you get here.

I almost want to WALK away from this one. But this pond is in a prim location. They sell log homes and have open houses once a month.

I'm looking at differant way's to cut corners. The rock he has is usable, both boulders and gravel. If I can be certain he will get the right size and quanity, it should be OK to let him get the rock.
But I don't see anyway that it would be efficient for them to help, or use their equipment.

I'm also thinking of upgrading the pond size from 11x16 to 16x21. They are going to need a larger pump, more flex hose, and extra lights. After adding all these costs to the 11x16 it will only cost about 200 more to have a larger pond.

Hopefully they will see the light, and go for it.

well they backed out. He found a good deal on a tractor. But they said they'll get back with me in the spring or early summer.

Too bad, a pond would look killer here...
