Pond design layout

    this is a follow up to my earlier post.

    I only want one pump, and am not sure if I need a skimmer or not.

    I want a skimmer and have included one in this drawing, though I am not sure if I can throttle the flows like have shown on this pic.

    Also is there a resource chart etc. for energy star rated pumps, or just plain amp draw on certain pumps.

    for the skippy I plan on using this cone bottom tank in either a 15 or 30 gallon size. this will allow me to flush the tank easily and maintain good flow through the filter.

    I will use a custom made tee assembly for the bottom fitting on the tank that will allow me to drain and feed the filter through the same port, thus also allowing for pressurized draining of the filter, water changes etc.

    Let me know what you guys think.

    No KOI, 20 or so 3" gold fish 6 other misc fish, and two aquatic turtles will call it home.
