If the booster unit has vacuum to it,check by pulling it off whil its running,it should stall or suck real bad,the Brake booster is bad. They run around 100bucks and its common to need one by now. They dry rot and some fuel vapors always make there way to the diaphram, even with the valve inline to stop it.The vapors swell the diaphram and it fails eventually.A backfire when your foot is on the brake can blow it out too,if its in borderline condition.Good luck, and
----------
John D
