So, depending on interpretation, I've inadvertently violated four of the rules, five if you consider any of my statements to have been "sarcastic baiting" or name calling.

I have seen the error of my ways and pledge to abide by the rules in the interests of continued peace and prosperity.

A lot of these rules make sense. enforcing the civility of society requires rules and punishments for breaking them. some however, such as mentioning manufacturors names, seem a bit weird.

Hey, has anyone seen the new transformer from Night******* ? It reminds me of the old Had** and incorporates Uni***'s lugs. The stainless box is not as nice as F*'s but still pretty good.

    slightly ridiculous.

I don't like the sponsorship policy and have voiced my objections to Sean. In my opinion, his business model of allowing sponsors to dominate threads with self promotion is counter to a free exchange of professional ideas. Why not be satisfied with sponsors putting ads along the top and right side of the page? I'm sure that brings in plenty of revenue.

As far as I know Steve you are free to discuss your products here. I have no problem with it. I think they may limit you to posting pics or links to your site but you are free to post things that relay directly to your products.

The only lighting sponsors i know of are Unique and Frog Lights and i do not see very many posts from Frog Lights here so you must be reffering to Unique in which case I try to only mention products that play into the topic. Many others here promote other manufacturers fixtures here as much as I might push mine. I dont know that I over do it but if others feel like I do then let me know. The people I have discussed this with have said they feel like I do not over do it.

    Steve, Joey
I for one am glad both of you are here to share ideas, knowledge, products and opinions. When other manufacturers or distributors chime in it makes it that much better. Keep it Up! Thanks Guys!

I agree. We are all big boys and we certainly know when and if the truth is being distorted to side with a particular manufacturer. I enjoy the conversation from everyone (well, almost everyone) both contractor and manufacturer alike, and I don't have a problem with any of you speaking about your line.

Joey, I'm not faulting you and I do believe you add value to the forum, as do other manufacturers. I still don't like this forum's business model and would prefer an open forum with uniform rules that apply to all users.
