Thanks Riggle. I may look in to that too. When you say "Chemlawn" gun, is it the JD9 from Lesco/John Deere or another manufacturer?

 

Here is one of my guys spraying mosquitoes, it sucks when its hot out........
We have lost several customers because they get freaked out, I wouldnt consider spraying like this without the proper protection, however I wont treat turf wearing a respirator unless it is a liquid fungicide.

 

PPE is for my protection. When clients showed concerns, I educated them.

Same here. My clients deal with me on the understanding that I am there to get results and at the same time live to see another day. If the stuff the "yard man" applied with a hand sprayer and no PPE did not work, they do not expect me to do the same. Many have told me that I am not allowed to die or go out of business until they have died or moved out of state.

 

The gun extension I used was a 12 inch length of spray hose or garden hose with garden hose fittings on both ends. Fits the green Chemlawn gun. Not sure about the JD-9 gun. You may need to use rubber hose washers to prevent leaks. The threads are the same or almost the same.

The long gun allows you to reach out further to cover a wider swath area also.
