I am jsut starting my lawn care business and have had alot of request for power washing. I also have a friend who is a Supervisor for a builder and mentioned to me that he always needs a pressure washer. I've been thinking of purchasing one to expand the service I offer but was wondering how to go about pricing pressure washing service. Is it done by the Sq ft or what. Any help would be appreciated to help me with some figuring to see if this is something i want to add to my offerings.

If you have never power washed before I suggest you practice on your own sidewalk/deck to get a feel for how much time it requires to do a certain area. Then you can size up a job and be confidant with your rates. I give bids based on $50/estimated hour, but always give the customer a total job price, not an hourly rate. An add-on is deck sealing which is usually an easy sell. Don't ask the customer if they want it. Just recommend it as extending the life of the deck. Be sure to wait 48 hours for the wood to dry out thoroughly before applying.

Ive done alot of pressure washing but never done it to make money. So just curious about pricing. I had thought about the sealer but thought it had to be 7 days but wasnt sure. Thanks for the info
