I trying to figure out a price for weeding and cultivating approx 7200 sq ft of mulch beds. Keep in mind that I am also giving a price for mulching the same area ( thin top coat about 2"). There really isn't many weeds it is already somewhat taken care of.

There is no way you know how long it will take you to weed beds.
I just tell customers 30$ per man per hour.

use dimension and gallery if you want to cut down on your weeding. our company has cut weeding in half with these products. a little pricey for the chemical but well worth it

Dimension works great, cut PITA site's weeding in 1/2. We charge a flat rate for hand weeding-$45.00 per man hour, mulch at $ 70.00 yd installed in properly prepped beds.It all depends on your desired markups and overhead figures to get your specific price, don't go by my or others prices for your biz. What works for one co. isn't necessarily gonna be the same for everyone else.

Yeah I know what you mean by everybodys costs being diffent but its hard trying to figure pricing when your a small fry trying to get to be the potatoe. you know what I mean? I need the work and I'll try to figure out an hourly price at $28 per man. 3 guys @ 11 hrs to weed and cultivate before mulch. Plus a little extra to make it an even $1000. Ya think thats way off?

 Yow!!! 3 men at 11 hours each, for a total of 33 hours labor thats a lot of weeding and digging in the beds.
You also have not mentioned how much mulch you will be spreading, is that price on top of the labor?
How big are the landscape beds???

actually about 8500 sq ft and that is with some cleanout work like leaves etc.. Actually I don't know how long it will take that was just a guess. I figure it would take a day then include cleanup and disposal as part of it.
