Price on a 2000 scag?

    2000 scag 36" gear walk behind. Looks to be in real nice shape, dont know the hours im sure its over 1500. Is 1100 to much?

    Doesn't sound like a bad deal. Just got 975 for a "52 hydro with 4000 plus hrs on it. You should get a few more years out of the engine and there is nothing to go wrong with the deck other than drive belts which cost more than maintaing a hydro.

    Just my personal opinion....don't go for the Scag. They tend to be all trouble and you'll spend more time in the shop. Plus, from experience, the 36" deck is a bit small. Although, it's a different story if you have to mow fenced-in lots. Personally, I'd try looking for a Toro 44" T-bar walk behind with the Kohler engine (NOT the Kawasaki). That seems to be the best all-around, most comfortable mower on the market and there are used ones all over the place.

    has anyone ever tried the 48 inch Bobcat? very good mower with the Kawi engine
