I am adding some extra services to supplement fall/winter income. I am pricing an area for mulch which will require 3 yards of mulch, landscape fabric and 40 feet of eedging installed. What do you guys think of labor costs for this?

    Thanks for your help.

$30-$50/yd. to spread depending on the variables. Skip the fabric, use Preen instead. What kind of edging?.

they want to use the plastic edging with the loop in the top in a curved pattern to transition from the mulch to a pine straw area

    grassblaster.

for mulch i would charge between 35-42 c/yd
    pinestraw...6.00 to 7.50 bale (delivered/spread)
edging... C.O.M. * 20% and hourly labor to install.
fabric...C.O.M. * 30% plus staples and hourly labor to install.

fabric is a pain to do in my opinion, plus it degrades with time. If they are going with hardwood mulch, keep it at three inches and put a 0-0-7 PreM on the mulch (or a liquid preemergent) instead of the fabric (if bermuda is present, they will have to spot treat with Round Up periodically)

    good luck.
