For the new guy's ( the rest of you have it figured out by now )

    1) If you have a employee and they make $10 per hour - your billing rate should be triple = $30 hr

    2) Alway's mark up material's - in this business that's how you make your money !

    3) Call your local nursery's / supply Co. Ask for a price on bulk mulch, delivered ( for a retail customer). Your price should never be lower then a customer can purchase it locally.

    4) If your customer wants you to apply chemical's - dont !
Sub contract the work out - some fines start @ $2000.00

    6) Tree's & Shrubs are normally marked up 50-60% - Dont give them away and find a wholesale supplier !

    7) If all else failes , go to work for the oil companies or Government - Good Luck !
