Learn about bidding and estimating from Charles VAnder Kooi or Jim Huston of Smith-Huston. I've posted on this before. When you install, your in construction. Forget about per head, times materials and all the other stupid stuff that comes off peoples lips. Learn the right stuff.
And then while you are at it learn about irrigation design and engineering as well. If you don't have a clue about pricing yet, do you have a clue about really desinging, installing and servcing irrigation?
