Reading the recent privacy policy I see all users of this site are bound by binding arbitration. That means all users waive any rights to legal remedy through any court system. No judge or jury could ever hear arguments or issue decisions about a dispute.

While this is now commonplace today it doesn't make it ok. In order to buy a car, have internet, buy on Amazon, go to a ballgame, use an app, for many even their employment is restricted to binding arbitration. This means the "little guy" will go to the "big guys" chosen closed "court" and determine the outcome, put a gag order on the verdict and seal it up.

Class actions are also banned. If the operators of lawnsite did something to harm a group of users (which I don't believe they ever would) it would be inconsequential.

Arbitrators side with the "big guy" more often than not. The arbitrators who side with a company are likely to see repeat business from that company. Awards to plaintiffs are almost always less than in a public court.

It's just sad for our country it's come to this. Consumers and everyday people really have no choice but to agree to terms or crawl in a hole. Lawnsite is just following the trend, making the best decision for their business as we would for ours.
