My starter rope on my turf tracer hp is hanging out, and wont go back in all the way. I have taken it off and wound it back all the way, but the first time I went to pull it afterwards, it still didnt go back in all the way, About 14" of it is hanging out, it can still be started like this, just more of a pain to start. Any suggestions?

I would cut the string and restring/rewrap it. If you take the recoil off, does it suck it back in well? If not, just redo it, should fix your problem.

has it always had that problem or since you reroped it, if yes there could be to much rope and it is binding up on the housing as the pully fills up

Rewind the spring on the recoil and replace the starter rope. You may have a broken recoil spring in the starter assembly but you should be able to determine that when you rewind/replace the starter rope.Other than that you can shorten the rope temporarily to allow it to pull back completely as long as you still have a enough to start it.
