pull chords

    my pull chord broke on my 48in bobcat. i got a new chord for it but i cant get the chord to wind up all the way. it only goes maybe one time around. anyone ahve any tips/hints on an easy, less stressful way to do this???

    Less stress would be to have your mower shop rewind for you...

    I kinda learned from experience. If you are ever out in the field away from your shop, this might help you in a bind. Take the pull cover off the motor. Be careful and let the spring full go. In the pulley, there should be a notch, pull the rope in the notch and start rewinding the spring wil still in the cage. Kinda like pre-stringing a reserve trimmer spool. Then when you feel you have enough tension on the spring, pull the rope out of the notch and let is pull the rope in. Hope this helps.
