Ever go give an estimate or do a job and the customer who answers the door is this 60 year old overweight lady in a full length body shirt / pajamas and slippers with messy hair like she just woke up but it's 2:00 in the afternoon? And then when she invites you inside to sign the contract you see stacks of crap everywhere, a few casino poker chips sitting on the table, and empty beer cans and half drinken coffee cups all over? And she looks and smells like she just got done with a 48 hour bender at the local smoke-all-you-want casino?

    No?....Anyone???.... Just me then?... Ok.

Jim - first off, I gotta say you need to post more in here. We miss ya.

Secondly, nope. It's just an Oregon thing. Did you show up to my in-laws? Just kidding. I have one rental home that is a disgrace and he clears a path for me to get down stairs. Complete ADD and OCD issues with this guy. The guy always looks beaten down from no sleep and Coca Cola overload. yes the soda, not the drug. System is a hack job too.

Luckily there are none of those in recent memory!
Back in the day the service tech I used to work with would always light up a cigarette and puff like mad when an undesirable person like that would come around. My long hair, headband, and horrible B.O. worked for me in the same manner.
(Gosh darn I miss having hair)

Well.... was it a good contract at least?

We had a lady down the street from where my wife and I live invite us over to her house the other night for dinner. She is the exact same type that you described in your thread. Thankfully we were busy that night.

I used to have one old German customer that would be drunk at 9:00 AM when I would show up. ALL the drywall was torn out in the basement and covering the floor. It was like that for 3 years. He once was passed out at 1:00 or 2:00 and never heard me ringing the bell and banging on the door.
