question about v nose

    is it easy/easier to jack knife a v nose Vs. a regular enclosed? it looks like it is closer to the bumper???????

    First, I have one...but...I built it myself. I built the trailer frame to be 20 feet from tongue to rear bumper, because the metal was in 20 foot lengths. From the tip of the tongue to the point of the v-nose is a total of 30 inches. NOW, I don't know if the "Manufactured" ones are set-up any different, but I have no fear of jacknifing this trailer. Mine is connected to a 2000 Dodge Ram Quad Cab with 6 1/2' bed, and I have yet to get into this situation.

    You would have to run over the trailer tongue to hit it. Should not be different than the open one.
