For those of you guys (not me) who take the guards off your trimmers, how does the line get cut?? I know this is a stupid question but I am just curious.

If used properly, it only needs cutting once, when you restring it, just to even out both ends.

Similar post to this last week. It doesn't get cut. You just tap advance more line as it wears down. If It gets uneven, you run it along a fence or rock to shorten the line. I dont take my guard off either. Redmax doen't have much of a guard anyway.
