QXpress Users - Please Read

    My company has been using QX (Desktop Version) for about 7 years (and still do) and have always really liked it. It has always been very stable and the integration with Quickbooks has been the best out there. We have 10 users and we use the Enterprise edition.
    I attended one of the user conferences a few years ago and it seemed like they were headed in the right direction. However, since Aloce sold it, it seems like it went stagnant. It has been the same version with no updates and there has been no talk of any iphone or droid app which blows my mind. Has anyone heard any news on the direction of this software? I will consider looking elsewhere if I have to. I want to have a relationship with a scheduling software company (that streamlines with Quickbooks), where it is obvious they are making strides on constantly and improving and helping their clients.

    Anyone have any news on QX?

    I tried it a while back and monitored them.
    They have a good rep.

    However, if you are not getting better, you are getting left behind.

    User conference?

    In Columbus? Your name doesn't ring a bell, but that doesn't mean much.

    I finally stopped paying the $800 extortion fee for KIC. I am trying to find something different, at least if I have time.

    Errors have occurred in the same process for a couple years now. Zone based scheduling is all fubarred. Keep losing sort codes about halfway through the season. I am totally unimpressed and refused to be extorted any longer.

    I am looking to dump my qx as well. I have actually had someone design my own software specifically tailered to my preferences. And it is based online but has an app for my phone as manager and crew phones with route lists.

    I jumped ship last fall. They have given up on 95% of QXpress. They are trying to funnel people to their serviceCEO program instead. Which is more expensive. Went to Service Autopilot and haven't looked back.

    Yes, I've been keeping my eye on Service Autopilot. They seem to be heading in the right direction. @ Mark, no, not the conference in OH, I was at the conference in North Carolina a few years ago.

    been using Clip for about 10-12 years and overall pretty happy with it--new features every 6 months or so--
    integrates with QB very well--

    crews view the route sheets on their smart phone /tablet and log the info, start and stop time for each job, then at end of day, I download the info into my master program and can transfer all the data to Qb for billing and time sheets-

    has capabilities to sen email of the completed work at the end of the day with lawn conditions attached (such as weeds present or needs water, whatever you decide)-

    Used Clip for about 6 years before QX, but moved on because at the time it did not integrate with QB very well. All sales came through as a lump sum and that did not work for us.

    If your still using clip your wasting time and money. I used them for ten years. I went to qx and would never go back. Looking in to sa. But clip come on

    You might need to take another look at clip.
    Many features that qx doesnt have...qx is kinda a knockoff from my experience.
    I looked at qx and was not impressed.... good luck..
    Ability to log job data with a smartphone...
    Email clients for pre and post notification...
    Tranfer all job dats billing takes about 5 minutes into qb...never had a problem in over 10 years
    Remote input of data...
    Made by guys in the businesses...
    I've had issues over the years, they work to resolve them and are always adding new features.
    Its made things so much easier and is a well thought out program
