Okay, another question. Can I put down Fertilizer after it rains while the grass is still wet, will it make the fertilizer stick to the grass and possibly burn it? Or do I need put it down before it rains so it will get watered in? Trying to keep from having to water it my self. If it has to be put on a dry lawn how long can it set before it has to have water?

Most fertilizers evaporate the N when its not raining and leach the N when it is. P granules can burn the grass blades if they are already water stressed.
A friend of mine really mess up his hand mixing fertilizers and handling straight P all day.
Moisture is always better, I say...

Ideally you want to wait right before it rains to do it.

When it is wet afterwards is not a good idea, the fertilizer has to get to the soil and if the leaves are wet and it is sticking obviously that is a problem.
