I currently have the 1800 Rainbird spray heads in my front yard and and want to replace 5 of them with rotors. What model would fit? The 42SA???

You should go to a irrigation supply house (not Home Depot) and get the Rainbird 5004 rotors. They will be alot better than what you can get at Home Depot or any other store like that.

Why do you want to replace them with rotors?

Also, its all or none when it comes to changing sprays for rotors, you cant mix and match.

Most people think "water is water" but mixing these types of sprinkler heads is a good indicator that monkeys (or plumbers that never understood this) are lurking nearby.
