how do you know which order and valves to turn on first for summer lawn inground sprinkler and off for end of season. Is first step to turn off water line coming from mainline? Any one with diagram?

    Why would it matter?

What ever order you wish, just need to move the wires at the timer around if you need to put valves in a certain order.

As to time of year to water, well that depends on local weather conditions. Rule of thumb, anything where the soil temp is above 50 degrees at night, no frost in site, then turn system on. As to amount, the weather dictates this.
