I was just wondering how often and how far that you all raise your mowing heights during the summer vs. the rest of the year, and I'm especially curious about Floratam? I personally like to keep my Floratam yards at 3.75" year round, but I'm considering jumping up to 4" this summer due to the extreme heat/rain we've been getting lately and how fast/thick it's getting between mowings......

I'll change my cutting height from 3.25 to 4.5" and in between depending on the rate it grows up here in NC FL. Unlike down in your location, Floratam goes dormant in the Winter up here.
  3. I cut at 4" minimum....

We have been cutting at 5" for last two months. When SA is really healthy and thick it demands to be cut high. Less than 4 and its yellow and scraggly.

Thanks for the input so far guys...I'll prob bump it up to at least 4, maybe 4.25
  9. Keep in mind it also depends on mower...if you are on a ztr your adding more weight vs a wb where there is no added weight....
