What is a reasonable price to pay for liability insurance and are there any companies that are better to deal with than others? I am a sole proprietorship, one man operation doing primarily estate gardening/landscape maintenance.

Thanks for any information that any of you out there can share.

I just got commercial general liability coverage for one year for a sole proprietor LLC in the New Orleans area for a little less than $700. Hope this helps.

No clue about Utah. Erie, Selective, and Penn Millers are pretty good in Virginia.

I have American Family, and its around $1,000/Year for 1 Million Liability coverage and it covers my equipment for $20k, damage, theft and that sort of thing.

I have allied/nationwide. For 1 mil, 20k inland marine and my truck it's $3900/ year. It sky-rocketed this year for no reason, i probably won't be with them next year.

    Ouch, that is expensive.
I have pretty much the same coverage as you, with 2 trucks, 1 mill Liability, and the equipment coverage, basically inland Marine 20k and I pay approx. $180/Month, which turns out to be 2200/Year.

I'd get a quote from American Family, and the popular companies like State Farm and Farmers.
