Just womdering what you guys think of this program. Anybody use it? I'm using their free trial right now and think its great! Its the more expensive program at $400 compared Plus $79- Pro $100. Do you really need the more expensive program? Or do the cheaper ones work fine?

It really depends on what you are doing. I had the older architect and then upgraded/downgraded to Pro version when it updated. I generally use the photo mostly for a quick visual, the only thing I am missing is the plan detail that architect has. If you are doing traditional 2d plans than it is OK. The 3d thing is cool, but most people are not willing to pony up the cash for the 20+ hrs that go into a 3d walkthrough. It works with google sketchup though and sketchup does a nice job for structures more so than RLA. So if I update again it will likely be just the photo version.

The 3D feature is really cool. I started doing a plan for my house at around 11pm last night...looked down at the clock and realized almost 3hrs flew by! I put in the exact dimensions for my house and it automatically made my house. I thought that was cool.

the architect version is good. the 3d designs sells a job, it makes the customers more comfortable with the design process when they see what they are getting in real-time walk through
