I live in Southern Louisiana and it gets real hot here in the summer. I currently have an outdated sprinkler/mist system in my flowerbed in front of my house. It is a rather large flower bed extending over 30 feet. I will have to replace the existing system as it is not working properly (and it's too old to fix). Can anyone recommend a product a homeowner can install? I've heard drip irrigation is better than overhead this true? If drip irrigation is best, do you have to "double up" the hose in the beds to get adequate soaking?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Call a professional. Irrigation has the best most efficient results when professionally installed.
