Has anyone had a chance to use this trimmer yet? I have alway used shindaiwa in the past but am reluctant to buy a new one based on some reports of less power on the new models. The new Red Max trimmer is 29.5cc and only weighs 11.2lbs. Any onpinions?

Take a look at the new Echo SRM-261T at $254. You will not find a unit with more torque at the head, for the weight.

My crews used 3 BCZ3000S, last season. After 4 years if using Shindaiwa T-270's, we were very impressed. They are very powerul and lightweight and no cat converter.

The only repair we experienced was one bump head (our fault)!

Around $345.00 +/- for the 3000, from Landscapersupply.
