In Texas, when do redbud trees go dormant? I'm wanting to transplant a redbud thats why I'm asking. Any info is appreciated.

probably in 3 weeks or so maybe 4....it has been a cold fall so far for Texas

I don't think it is too early now

how big is the plant....the bigger the less chance of success with a redbud....they should be planted/transplanted young :)

I wouldn't go much over 7-8 diameter getting risky then.
