Anybody use the RedMax 4800 backpack blower? I know it's not a 7001 but I can buy one for $300 new. Wouldn't that be a good deal and isn't the 4800 powerful enough for most applications like blowing out gutters and getting leaves out of bushes?

I have the 4800, and haven't been disappointed with it yet. Plenty of power for me. It takes care of wet leaves and debris easily. 300 bucks is a heck of a deal, I paid 400 for mine. For that price, I would definately take the 4800 and put the couple hundred you will save towards somthing else.

If price is the main issue get an Echo PB-403..

$299 with plenty of power..lightweight and very quiet...
