I had a similar problem out of my 7001. I found that if you use the primer bulb each time no matter if the engine is still warm or not it cuts that problem down.

I think the gas evaporates just a little or something and causes a vapor lock of sorts.

My 7001 recently starting shocking my left hand through my glove where the throttle is. Does anyone know what is causing this? I don't see any loose wires anywhere. When you touch it, it starts arching out the top of the trigger.

the shock is caused from sand getting into your fan which builds up staic electricty and your just arching yourself out...easy fix bring it to your local redmax dealer and have them (or you can do it also) run a ground wire inside of your elbow (on the blower for you smartasses out there) inside your pipe and leave about 5 inches of wire hanging out of it with the wire fully faned open this prevents the shock....this is what redmax is telling us to do until they get a solution

yea theres a recall on the 8000's clutch plate, recoil, and depending on the frame that too....check with your local redmax dealer they should have told you about it..as far as it rattleing around it might be the sand getting inside the fan and the building up the static charge wich creates a short inside causing it to shut off but thats just a poss....but get your clutch plate and all your other recalls down before it runs out of warrenty!

I have the right hand throttle model, and the trigger is really stiff to pull. Anyone else with this problem?
