We have ran Redmax for years. Trimmers, hedge clippers, blowers, backpack blowers. Ever since they introduced the strato charged engine to meet CARB requirements the smaller engines are very finicky. They are very slow to warm up. You have to baby them till they come up to temperature. When it gets hot, most do not want to run at all. Keep in mind this is the smaller 2 cycle motors. Because of this we have changed all our handheld blowers and all string trimmers to tanaka. It was kinda hard since we have ran Redmax since 1996. Now for backpack blowers, there is nothing like the big Redmax 8500 series. They always run strong no matter the conditions.
