Any suggestions how to remove a stain? Looks like iron on the concrete?
Rid-a-Rust from Home Cheapo.
There's another product we use called "Miracle Rust Away". But I haven't seen it at retail stores - only at my wholesale fertilizer store and at another wholesale landscape supply store.
Also, straight muratic acid does the trick. But that stuff's nasty. Be careful using, touching, inhaling, etc. that stuff.
CLR they have it at the homo cheapo as well or you could always get a pressure washerand do the trick......
Tried the muriatic acid today per the diloution instructions and it didn't work.
Has anyone used it at full strength on rust over exposed aggregate, and how did you use it?
Was at my local Home Depot, they don't carry the other products mentioned.
Thanks for any input
Seems as if I heard somewhere that Tang will work. This sounds more like something from Mythbusters though...
This stuff works great
Do not use the acid in full strength. When I did this in small spots it etched(hope the spelling is right) the concrete. I had an account the people were so picky. The iron will wear away over time. I am not sure of some of the other products people have suggested. I also used a pressure washer and it didn't work. Hope it turns out well for you.
Here's some more info on removing rust stains from cement:
And here's another product called Red-B-Gone Rust and Iron Stain Remover:
Iron Away or something similar...
