Good point Mowdaddy. Weeds in gardens or beds. This is a good spot for a shielded nozzle for between the rows or between the flowers.
It is also a good spot for a "band" nozzle. A band nozzle is not feathered at the edges--but rather has a sharp cut-off.
Also, think about a light plastic child's snow shovel. Hold it in your left hand as a shield for the petunias.
